Ingredients
- 4 slices of Italian crusty homemade bread
- 4 tomatoes
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 or four leaves of basil
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Slice and dice the tomatoes, then toss them in a bowl with a generous mix of olive oil (around 5-6 tablespoons), salt, pepper, and basil leaves. Mix well and set aside for the bruschetta topping.
- Toast the bread slices on a preheated griddle pan, skillet, or under a hot grill until both sides are golden brown. As a last resort, you can use a toaster.
- While the bread is hot, rub both sides with a halved garlic clove.
- Arrange the garlic-infused slices on a platter or warm plates and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- Spoon the prepared tomato bruschetta topping generously over the base.
Your classic tomato bruschetta is ready to enjoy!
Buon appetito!
Love these instructions, so simple even I can follow with the kiddos running around haha. Gotta try it this weekend, thanks Enzo Rossi for sharing!
I noticed you didn’t specify which type of flour to use for this recipe. Will all-purpose work or do you recommend something else?
I tried it with all-purpose and it turned out fine. Not sure if that’s what’s best, but it worked for me!
