Simple, Easy Bruschetta Recipe

bruschetta

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Italian crusty homemade bread
  • 4 tomatoes
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 or four leaves of basil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice and dice the tomatoes, then toss them in a bowl with a generous mix of olive oil (around 5-6 tablespoons), salt, pepper, and basil leaves. Mix well and set aside for the bruschetta topping.
  2. Toast the bread slices on a preheated griddle pan, skillet, or under a hot grill until both sides are golden brown. As a last resort, you can use a toaster.
  3. While the bread is hot, rub both sides with a halved garlic clove.
  4. Arrange the garlic-infused slices on a platter or warm plates and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
  5. Spoon the prepared tomato bruschetta topping generously over the base.

Your classic tomato bruschetta is ready to enjoy!

Buon appetito!

  1. Love these instructions, so simple even I can follow with the kiddos running around haha. Gotta try it this weekend, thanks Enzo Rossi for sharing!

  2. I noticed you didn’t specify which type of flour to use for this recipe. Will all-purpose work or do you recommend something else?

    • I tried it with all-purpose and it turned out fine. Not sure if that’s what’s best, but it worked for me!
